You’ll be spending lots of quality time with friends and family when you’re camping. It’s the perfect time to bring out some fun board games or a deck of cards. If the kids don’t know how to play you can enjoy teaching them and they may have some new games to show you.
Pack a couple decks of cards so you’re ready to play solitaire, double-solitaire, Rummy, Crazy Eights, or Cribbage if you have a board. Kids learn a lot from playing card games and it’s just a fun way to challenge friends and spend time relaxing.
Bring board games that you think might be fun for a variety of age groups. Kids will love learning Monopoly, Clue, and Risk. Try Yahtzee and Scrabble with your group, too. Board games can go on for hours and work well when there you get some rainfall in your day. Or let them play as they sit around the campfire. It’s all just for fun so bring a variety of games to try.
You can spend some time teaching the kids how to tie a variety of knots or how to read a compass. Show them how to tell time by using the sun and the shadows it creates. They also enjoy playing jax. or marbles, or even making paper airplanes. You can do balloon animals or make animal shadows on the wall of the tent. It’s all part of the adventure for the kids at your campsite. They’ll remember the fun for years to come.
